Robin Olsen, born on January 8, 1990, is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for English club Everton and the Swedish national team.

Early Career

Robin Olsen started his youth career with Malmö FF and then joined Bunkeflo IF. In 2009, he made his professional debut with Bunkeflo IF in Division 1, the third tier of Swedish football.

He then moved to the Swedish top-flight club Malmö FF in 2011, where he won two Allsvenskan titles in 2013 and 2014. In 2015, he transferred to FC Copenhagen, where he won three Danish Superliga titles in a row. In 2018, he transferred to Italian club AS Roma for a €8.5 million fee, making him the most expensive goalkeeper in the club’s history at that time.

After two seasons in Serie A, Olsen transferred to Everton on loan in October 2020, and later signed a permanent contract in January 2021.

Olsen has earned a reputation as a dependable shot stopper with excellent reflexes. He has a clean sheet record of 34% in his club career, and an impressive 44% clean sheet record in his international career.

He has also scored one career goal on March 29, 2014, in a match against Östersunds FK, making him one of the few goalkeepers in professional football to have scored a goal.
