Paul Play Dairo was born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1972. He grew up in a musical family which influenced his interest in music. His father, Ikenga Super Stars’ Late I. K. Dairo, was a prominent Juju musician in Nigeria. Paul Play Dairo was educated in Lagos and completed his secondary school in 1988.
