Lyta was born on the 4th of July, 1998, in Kwara State, Nigeria. He grew up in Ajegunle, Lagos, Nigeria. His real name is Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim and he is the second child in a family of four kids.
Lyta has always had a passion for music but he also ensured to focus on his education. He attended his primary and secondary school in Kwara state before moving to Lagos to further his tertiary education. However, he had to drop out of school to focus on his music career.
Career
Lyta started his music career in 2018 when he was discovered by Nigerian artist, Olamide. He signed with YBNL Nation, an independent record label owned by Olamide, and released his first single “Time” under the label.
In 2019, following disagreements with the label, Lyta left YBNL Nation and signed with Doro Musik Gang, where he has released hit singles like “Monalisa” and “Worry”. He has also collaborated with top Nigerian artists like Davido and Naira Marley.
